LORES+ is a digital platform designed to provide loan referrals to the banking system, assisting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and individuals in finding the best financing terms. Developed with the support of USAID in Albania, LORES+ has successfully launched and expanded in three countries in the Western Balkans of Southeast Europe. The platform has achieved impressive results, such as a 90% approval rate, and hundreds of disbursed loans totaling a $27 million portfolio, and less than 1% non-performing loans (NPL). It operates under a sustainable financial model, where the Operating partners gets compensated by Financial Institutions and MSMEs in some cases for successful loans. LORES+ is now in the process of expanding into various regions through a franchise-like agreement, and is seeking a local partner to operate the platform in Sri Lanka in partnership with USAID Private Sector Development Activity (PSD) aimed at supporting MSMEs access to finance.
Objectives: To identify and partner with a qualified local firm, referred to as the Local Partner Operator (LPO), capable of effectively managing and operating the LORES+ platform in Sri Lanka.
